Abstract: Accelerating the promotion of digital technology innovation is a key support for  achieving high-quality development of the digital economy. Digital technology innovation is a  systematic innovation activity based on new-generation digital technologies such as big data and  artificial intelligence, with data as the core element, creatively reconstructing technology, prod⁃ ucts, services, and processes, and generating new technologies, products, services, business  forms, and models. Compared with traditional technological innovation, digital technology inno⁃ vation shows significant differences in the structure of innovation elements, input models, diffu⁃ sion speed, risk characteristics, and externalities, presenting high data dependence, generality, disruptiveness, and ecological dependence, and thus is more sensitive to the external financing environment. Digital inclusive finance, leveraging the advantages of digital technology and its in⁃ clusive nature, can not only alleviate the financing constraints of enterprises but also optimize  corporate governance through information penetration. Its enabling effect on digital technology  innovation has gradually become a focus of academic and policy attention. This paper examines  the enabling effect, mechanism, and boundary of digital inclusive finance on the digital technol⁃ ogy innovation of Chinese listed companies based on digital patent data from 2011 to 2023, aim⁃ ing to stimulate the digital innovation vitality of listed companies and provide new micro-level  evidence for China's strategy of becoming a financial and digital power. The research results  show that: First, digital inclusive finance can significantly drive the digital technology innovation  of enterprises. Second, the resource support mechanism and governance optimization mechanism  are the dual mechanisms through which digital inclusive finance drives the digital technology in⁃ novation of enterprises. Finally, the lack of a financial background of the CEO, the private owner⁃ ship nature of the enterprise, the small and medium-sized scale of the enterprise, and the low  marketization degree of the region enhance the promoting effect of digital inclusive finance on  the digital technology innovation of enterprises. The possible marginal contributions of this paper  are as follows: First, previous studies tend to analyze the impact of digital technology innovation  on enterprise performance, total factor productivity, etc. This paper is among the earlier ones to  explore the impact of digital inclusive finance on the digital technology innovation of enterprises  and analyzes its internal mechanism from the perspectives of resource effect and governance ef⁃ fect, providing a useful supplement to the literature on the impact of digital inclusive finance and  the driving factors of digital technology innovation. Second, it enriches the measurement basis of  enterprise digital technology innovation. This paper uses the digital patent data of listed compa⁃ nies to measure the digital technology innovation of enterprises, better separating the digital tech⁃ nology innovation activities from the non-digital technology innovation activities of enterprises, providing a research basis and academic reference for subsequent studies on enterprise digital  technology innovation. Key words: digital inclusive finance; digital technology innovation; financing constraints; corporate governance; digital transformation; artificial intelligence; digital economy; highquality development
